Snakes of yesterday are biting in disguise!

Image
Afghanistan is the land of political wonders. You can face a new wonder any moment and any day. When the so-called socialists ruled the country almost all of the people in power had disguised themselves into comrades. But when the regime fell down and replaced by Mujahideen (religious fighters) a lot of people tried to resemble them. But when Taliban came to the power, numerous people put black and white turbans on their heads and expressed themselves as Taliban, but in hearts they were conspirators for them. After Taliban’s regime the same situation repeated, All Khalqs and Parchams (socialists) Mujahideen, Taliban disguised as modern people and put neck-ties (which is counted a sign for modern culture in here) instead of all previous signs. Now all were disguised like the men of thoughts and intellect but unfortunately they were the old black-minded killers who are against modernization and  democracy. They had declared war with knowledge and intellect as they do today....

“My man will die wishing for meat!”

Image
It was the first day of fourth month of the twenty tenth, when someone knocked at the old door of my rented house. One of my sons ran, opened the door and an old woman cried out: "My man is sick. Please help me with a few rupees." With this the heartbroken woman entered the house and sat in front of my room by the doorway of the house where I was sitting and thinking about the life.  The woman cried her bad days in a hard nomadic voice. She cried and said: “I don't have anyone. My man is sick. We are nomads. We don't have a house May God destroy houses of soviets who made us to beg.” Hearing this will set the human heart on fire. I went outside and saw that all my children and family were around. My mother approached the old lady from the other side of the yard and said, "Hey aunt, take these clothes.” "My man is very sick, he can't walk, he might live for a few days or not, I need money," she said to my mom seeing the clothes. The old lady cried ov...

During the reign of King Zaher Shah in 1336 lunar   (1957 A.D) Maidan Wardag became a province. At first it was called only Wardag “Persian pronunciation, Wardak” and its first ever capital was Kot-e-Ashro. But in the reign of Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan (1973-1978) the capital shifted to (Maidan Shar) consequently it became the second capital of the province. When Mujahideen (Islamic religious fighters) beat Soviets and the communist regime broke down in Afghanistan. The local commanders of Maidan Shar took control of the provincial capital (1992)...

Oh candle only you know me!

Image
Oh candle, all the night you cried for me ! All the night you dropped tears for me, the precious tears which parted form your white lovely face ! You sacrificed for my excitement and tried to keep away the darkness and bring light and delight to my dark life . But oh candle ! When I woke up in the morning I felt that you had dirtied my room with your stoned tears . So I hastened on collecting your tears and threw them in the dustbin . So oh candle ! Only you know me better than anyone else, how unfaithful,   inhuman and unloving I am .   Dedicated to    Lillian Elliott By: Abdul Wadood Basharyar
